v5 is a polishing update:
- characters react to lost health in the combat screen
- removed text boxes for combat, type of hit (or not) is now represented by an icon
- enemy behavior in combat has been randomized so it's not the same 3 target spots in every combat instance
- began implementing random enemy start points in sections of the overworld map
Fixed:
- Health wasn't being restored on starting again from the main screen
- Had left on a debugging test making the final score show 12 no matter what, the count is now correct
Currently working on:
- Game-wide random start points for the enemies
- Scoring mechanism
Notes:
- I figured my project scope would have to be reigned in toward the end, i think i'm nearly there for a minimum viable product (it plays waaaay smoother on a real game boy) but some of the deeper features may not make it to the deadline for the 7DRL. Maybe Weldon DX?
